The popular mobile action RPG "Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat" is currently receiving a lot of attention in the gaming world. Developed by NebulaJoy, a Chinese company, and supervised by the Japanese DMC development team, this game is a spin-off of the Devil May Cry series. It successfully incorporates elements from various games in the series, such as DMC3, DMC4, DMC: Devil May Cry, and DMC5. After multiple beta tests, the game was finally launched in Mainland China on June 11, 2021, bringing hack-and-slash battles to mobile gamers everywhere.
The gameplay of this RPG aligns with the fast-paced, aggressive combat seen in its PC and console counterparts, albeit with some adjustments to suit the mobile platform. Players journey through vast levels, defeating demons and accumulating Stylish Rank points through their combat skills. Using a variety of attacks can elevate the Style gauge, while using the same moves repeatedly can prevent it from increasing. A thrilling addition to the gameplay is the option to dodge and taunt, which can boost the stylish ranking.
Certain aspects of the game may be simplified or missing when compared to the PC or console versions because of the limitations of the mobile platform. For example, characters can only hold up to four weapons and there is no Automatic Mode, but aim assist is still available. Dante's Swordmaster and Gunslinger styles are part of his regular movesets with specific button commands, while his Trickster and Royalguard styles are the only ones clearly displayed.
Each character has the ability to equip a maximum of four weapons, each possessing distinct statistics and abilities. These weapons can cause both direct physical damage and secondary elemental damage, such as Physical, Fire, Ice, Thunder, and Dark. Enhancing weapons not only boosts their damage output but also allows access to new abilities. There are various methods to upgrade weapons, including injection, forging, refining, and using Magic Cards.
Special weapon designs can be earned and used on any weapon in the corresponding category. Dante's Rebellion can be obtained after finishing the second chapter of the main story, and his Ebony & Ivory can be unlocked after reaching Floor 60 in the Bloody Palace. Lady's Bounty Hunter can be unlocked after completing the seventh chapter of the main story, while Vergil's Yamato can be obtained during the limited event called "Vergil Returns.
Each character in the game has six specific stats that are unique to them, such as Health Points and Power. Dante has a special stat called Anger that boosts the Royalguard ability. Although characters do not have their own distinct weapons, their moves are similar within the same category of firearms. These moves can be unlocked using Red Orbs.
Memory Corridor" is a game mode that can be played multiple times with two levels of difficulty: Son of Sparda and Dante Must Die. The limited-time event "Vergil Returns" includes an event called Soul Realm, which offers three difficulty levels: Easy, Normal, and Hard. Each difficulty level comes with its own rewards. Your character's stats upgrades will apply to these event modes, regardless of the challenge, to ensure a balanced fight.
Featuring a diverse cast of characters, weapons, and game modes, "Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat" provides an engaging gaming experience that will keep you alert. From Dante and Lady to Vergil and Nero, each character offers something special. While you will encounter numerous demons, victory is achievable through the use of suitable weapons and sufficient skill in hacking and slashing. Prepare to immerse yourself in intense combat like never before by picking up your weapons and getting ready to fight.
