Last Shelter is a mobile game that involves construction and survival strategies. Players are tasked with building and managing military bases to fend off zombie invasions. Important structures like factories, warehouses, research facilities, and assault stations must be constructed to provide resources. Players can also train and upgrade soldiers to enhance defense capabilities. The game is heavily focused on combat, requiring careful planning for optimal outcomes. However, the advertising for the game may be misleading, as some players may find the actual gameplay lacking in comparison.
One crucial aspect for players to focus on is establishing a strong defense system to repel invading zombies. An affordable yet highly effective method of defense is constructing tall watchtowers. Once in place, the watchtowers can autonomously eliminate approaching zombies. Moreover, these watchtowers can be upgraded to increase their strength. For instance, a single watchtower could have the firepower of four other towers combined, making it easier to eradicate zombies and providing a sense of accomplishment for players.
I've noticed that in many other survival games, the setting usually involves being the sole survivor in the world with the only base. However, in this game, things are completely different. Our base is not the only one, as there are multiple active bases with the same goal of surviving and fighting against zombies. Even though there will be other people surviving in this world, it does not necessarily mean cooperation. We will have to battle not only zombies, but also other bases to either take over their resources or defend ourselves against alien attacks.
Initially, upon seeing game ads everywhere, I expected the graphics in the game to be cartoonish based on the advertisements. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the game features very realistic graphics, accurately depicting the military life landscape.
There is a unique aspect of this game that may surprise players. Initially, many may see it as a tactical survival game, but later on, they will discover the super-collector system. In this system, players are able to choose their own hero, but they must also consider the resources needed for that choice. Essentially, players must invade enemies to collect gold in order to purchase high-quality heroes. Each hero in the game has a unique skill, which enhances the player's ability to collect and possess them.
