Undoubtedly, most of us are familiar with the film Toy Story, correct? It is common in movies to see scenes where toy soldiers unite to create an army and launch an attack, generating excitement among viewers. I recall experiencing a similar game as a child. Playing a game like World War Armies: Modern RTS recreates that excitement, bringing back memories of my childhood. The gameplay requires players to devise a comprehensive strategy for their assault and utilize different types of infantry to carry out the attack.
The primary game mode in this game is the one-on-one combat mode, where two players are divided into two sides and must build their own military bases to defend against attacks from opponents. This feature makes it the most strategic game known to people.
Even though the game is centered around assembling an army for battle, players are limited to creating soldiers they have acquired. In the game interface, soldiers are represented as cards in a collection, and only soldiers from our deck can be deployed in battle. This limitation can impact game balance, as one faction may consistently have more powerful soldiers than the other.
What sets this game apart is that it allows players to compete on a global level rather than being confined to a specific region. This decision by the developers adds a layer of realism to the war game, as players can encounter and battle opponents from all over the world. By observing how their opponents position their troops, players can attempt to determine which country they are from.
At times, strategy games may lose their tactical essence if players rely too heavily on a single playing style for all situations. To prevent this, game publishers have introduced numerous maps to ensure each battle is unique, with constantly changing environmental characteristics.
While this game bears some resemblance to a war simulation game I played briefly, the major distinction lies in the significantly enhanced graphics. It is evident that this game places great emphasis on the visual aspect, as the characters and environment are intricately designed to mimic real warfare. This attention to detail can sometimes immerse players in the battle, making them feel as though they are truly a part of it.
